Kerry Jones Bio
Born and raised in the City of Angels, Kerry Jones entered this world in 1989.
Kerry was always very logical and statistical, probably traits from his father, Larry, who has a degree in Math and owns a computer programming business. Kerry's mother, Anthea, was always much more artistic, enjoyed singing and dancing, but she also worked as a programmer, setting the scene for Kerry to grow up speaking two languages: English and Computer. He made his first website at 9 years old and started a business selling computers at 11.
Delphi Academy in Los Angeles, California became Kerry's second home. High School treated Kerry well, giving him knowledge not only in the standard subjects, such as Math, Literacy and History, but also a proper grounding in Delphi's logo points: Knowledge, Integrity, Ethics and Leadership. He was the Treasury Secretary for the Student Government his senior year, leaving its accounts with the highest balance in the history of the school.
Kerry and his friends started a computer gaming company in their mid teenage years, and this took up much of his time. To avoid losing his life to the computer gaming world, he brought balance with sports. While soccer was passion – his teams competed in and won a number of championships – he participated in pretty much any physical activity that came his way: track, football, volleyball and others.
Once Kerry graduated Delphi in 2006, he got involved in website programming. He quickly fell in love with it and at the young age of 17, began his career. He started his own company called Phoenix Development. This is when he met Rafferty Pendery, who had also just started a web company.
The two worked side by side for a couple years when they each realized that joining together would benefit not only themselves, but their customers as well. Kerry became the COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Rafferty's company, and currently holds this position.
Aside from work, Kerry has enjoyed volunteering for a variety of causes. When he was 15 he traveled to Missouri for two weeks and helped prepare Applied Scholastics International for their grand opening. He has also worked with the Citizens Commission on Human Rights and The Way to Happiness, participating in the Glendale's Annual Graffiti Paint Out.
Until March of 2007, Kerry's life consisted mainly of computers, work, school, and volunteer work. He picked up a new past time, which remains a large part of his life today. Kerry now often finds himself on the dance floor, along with many of his friends. Oddly enough, his passion for swing and blues dancing presented yet another opportunity for Kerry to reach out to others. He and his friends participated in the "24 Hour Cancer Dance-A-Thon" in 2008, which helped raise $175,000 for Cancer Research to the City of Hope Hospital.
